On April 12, the Asian Excellence Achievers Award 2025 ceremony was held at Hotel Thamel Park Auditorium in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, in a joint effort of the South Asian Business Partnership and the Asian Business Partnership Summit. Awards were given to 32 distinguished individuals from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Pakistan, Maldives and Sri Lanka for their special contributions to society in various fields. Pakistan’s Mohammad Ayad was awarded as the youngest scientist.
At the ceremony, Asian Business Partnership Summit Executive Director The event was chaired by Golam Farooq Majnu and was attended by the Honorable Minister for Forest and Environment, Government of Nepal, Ayan Bahadur Shahi as the chief guest, the Honorable Minister for Home and Law Affairs, Government of Nepal, Mr. Suraj Chand Lamichhane as the special guest, Rashtriya Prajatantra Party Central Leader Shanti Shaista MP, Tanjin Bhutia MP, Club Fifty Chairman Dr. Ankur B. Karki. Zee Bangla Presenter Dr. Mou Bhattacharya and Nipa Akhtar moderated the welcome speech by Jyoti Karki on behalf of Nepal.
President Md. Golam Farooq Majnu said that Nepal and Bangladesh have been maintaining friendly relations for a long time and emphasized on the long-term plans for the economic, tourism and commercial development of the two countries by further strengthening this cordial relationship. He also said that more work needs to be done to improve mutual relations between the countries of South Asia. At the event, various luminaries including Mohammad Ayad from Pakistan were praised and awarded, and after the discussion, a delightful cultural program was held with artists from Nepal.
